• The Gift of Time

Watch & Bracelet: Daniel Wellington // Sweater & Beanie: Urban Outfitters // Necklace: Mvintage

As I’m growing older and, hopefully a little wiser, I’m realising that I’m starting to appreciate and understand the concept of time. Rather than it being a specific number on a clock, I now see time as the progression of existence. I now understand, more than ever, that time is of the essence.

As most of you are aware, I’ve recently moved to Glasgow. Although, I’ve been to Malta regularly over the past few months, I’ve noticed that the best gift anyone can give / receive this Christmas is TIME. I started to appreciate and make the most of the time I have with my family when I’m here. I feel that when you’re with someone 24/7, you tend to forget how much they mean to you. Being away from loved ones helps you remember how valuable their existence is to you and how lost you would be without them. Near or far, hearts are linked by a stronger bond than distance.

Very well said/written, Lyndsey. Christmas has become so materialistic over the years, that some of us have totally forgotten about one of the most precious gifts that we could ever give to someone – our time.

Have a VERY Merry Christmas, and best wishes for 2017! 🙂
