• Skincare Routine with Olay

I’m back!! You might have noticed I’ve been distant on the blog lately. Although, I’ve been posting regularly on my Facebook page, it feels like ages since I’ve sat down to write a blog post. I’ve recently finished a chapter in my life, that of academic studies. My MA dissertation is why I have not been posting as often as I should have. But now I’m back and I cannot wait to reveal the next chapter of my life (it’s going to be HUGE)! You have to wait a couple of months for that one though. At the moment, I’m focused on catching up with posts I was meant to upload before my dissertation occupied my soul.

VJ Salomone kindly sent over an Olay package that they wanted me to test out. I had heard so many good reviews about the brand but I had never actually tried it myself so this seemed like the perfect opportunity. I’ve been trying these products for a couple of months and I’d like to share my opinion about them.

The Olay Gentle Hydrating Rich Creamy Cleansing Milk is a make-up remover that is said to cleanse, condition and remove make-up at the end of the day. Before I started using this product, I was more into oils rather than cleansing milks. Although, I’m not ready to throw away all my oils just yet, this is quite a good remover. I apply this product using cotton wool on a dry face. It removes eye make-up like a dream although I find I have to apply this product quite a few times before my make-up is completely gone.

The Olay Refreshing Facial Cleansing Gel has become my go-to face wash. It cleanses the skin, making my face feel fresh and clean after use. It helps to remove dirt and any left-over make-up that the remover has failed to cleanse. I tend to use a small drop of this, rub it with both hands until it foams up and apply it on a wet face every morning and evening.

Next up is the Olay 2in1 Cleanser & Toner and this is said to cleanse, refresh, remove excess oil and reduce the appearance of pores. This is the one product I didn’t like in the whole bunch. I tried this on a couple of times and my skin instantly flared up after use. I do have sensitive skin so maybe this would work better for people with a normal to combination skin type.

The Olay Beauty Fluid is what I like to call the multi-tasker product. This moisturiser is so easy to apply and the best part is that you can use it for both your face and your body! It smells so clean and my skin drinks it up like a charm. You all know I hate that greasy feeling after apply lotions. The Olay Complete Lightweight Day Fluid is similar to the previous lotion. However, I love using this when I’m running out and about in the sun as this has an SPF 15.

The Olay Facial Cleansing Wipes are alcohol-free wipes which remove all types of make-up, even waterproof mascara. I’m not a fan of wipes as I prefer face washes but I love keeping these wipes in my gym bag and they’re perfect for travelling.

I’ll be back with more content very soon so be on the lookout!
