• #MFWA2016 Ritienne Zammit ‘Je Suis’

Let’s start by saying Ritienne Zammit can do no wrong in my eyes. She is THE designer who the audience are never tired of clapping for. She is THE designer who comes up with not just a great collection but always a thought-provoking one.

This year’s collection is about obsessions and addictions. Any kind of addiction is bad but this collection is not there to judge individuals but rather to sympathise with people going through these tough moments in their lives.

Models walked up and down the very steep staircase showcasing Ritienne’s new collection. The models walked with a sense of pride, some even holding cats to compliment the theme. This collection felt like an original take on the Seven Deadly Sins. Patterns of money, sex and other addictions were imprinted on the pieces. The colour palette changed from darker shades to brighter colours, leaving the audience wanting more. I honestly didn’t want this show to end! No words can ever do justice to this collection.

Ritienne, this was by far one of the best collections I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing throughout Fashion Week!
