• Clinique Skincare and Giveaway ft. Melita Pharmacy!

I’m always testing and trying out new skincare but one thing that I tend to look for in products is the simpler the better. I’ve recently discovered Clinique, and honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever go back.

As a brand, it claims to be 100% fragrance free and it is allergy tested. Along the years, I’ve discovered that although my skin is a type combination, it is also very sensitive which means that my skin flares up to a bright red with almost every product (especially masks and scrubs). Clinique is perfect for sensitive skin as I feel it is very gentle. Apart from skincare, Clinique also has a make-up range but that’s a story for another day.

I tested out the 3-Step System first; Cleanse, Exfoliate and Moisturise. There is a different range for different skin types. I fall under the Dry/Combination type. The Foaming Sonic Facial Soapย is a specific product meant to glide on smoothly on to the Clinique Sonic System Deep Cleansing Brush but it works just as well on its own used as a facial soap. I have never tried a cleanser which actually makes you feel like all the dirt on your face is gently getting wiped off. This does the job and I love it. The Clarifying Toner is the next step and I really enjoyed this product as it made my face feel so fresh and made the job of a moisturiser so much easier. The Dramatically Different Moisturising Cream feels so hydrating on the skin, it instantly makes my skin feel younger and smoother whenever I apply it. If I had to invest in a few Clinique products, it would definitely be the 3-Step System.

I also tried two products from theย Clinique Turnaround Range. This range was created to make the skin look and feel more energised. The Revitalising Lotion is an alcohol-free lotion which leaves the skin feeling fresh. It feels very light on the skin, making it perfect for daytime use. The Daytime Revitalising Moisturiser is a lightweight moisturiser which gives the feeling of being fully-awake. I love using this set of products when my skin is looking gloomy and needs a boost. It makes me look like I’ve had a good night’s sleep when I’ve barely shut my eyes.

I also enjoy using the Even Better Skin Tone Correcting Moisturiser SPF 20 when my skin needs some brightening up. It is of a thicker consistency than the other moisturisers mentioned here but it is meant to even out your skin tone, leaving a smoother look. I also love that it has SPF in it and I will definitely be using more of this come the summer months. The Youth Surge Night Age-Decelerating Night Moisturiser gently sits there on my bathroom stand, mocking me that I turn a year older in approximately 10 days. It is not at all greasy even though it is of a thicker formula. As shown on the Clinique website, it looks like this product might be discontinued but Melita Pharmacy still have a few left if you want to stock up!

The last two products are a treat for your skin…masks! The Moisture Surge Overnight mask has become one of my all-time favourites. Leaving it overnight, it feels like a moisturiser but does so much more. It soothes the skin all night and I always wake up with a glowing face. Definitely one to purchase! The Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal Mask absorbs oil, helps detoxify the skin and perfects impurities. My pores are barely visible after this mask.

All these products can be found at Melita Pharmacy in St Julians. And if you’ve made it this far along (Thanks, that was a long one!), the lovely people at this pharmacy have a treat for one lucky winner!

    It’s a MAKE-UP SESSION!

I have repurchased the Bioderma Sรฉbium H20 micelle solution regularly, as I love how effective yet protective it is. La Roche Posay is a great brand too. I’m also tempted to try Clinique’s Anti-blemish solutions.

I’ve tried various brands and wasn’t too impressed but then I decided to test the skin care range of CLINIQUE and it reached a stage of once you try CLINIQUE you never go back! It’s not easy to pick a favourite when you like all the products but I would say that the one I use the most is the Superdefense Daily Defense Moisturizer. ๐Ÿ™‚
