As much as I love Max Factor as a brand, I have never tried their famous Lipfinity lip colours so when I was given the opportunity to try their new versions in a lipstick form, I was more than happy to accept. There are ten shades in the collection, ranging from nudes, brights to darker colours. I chose to try out a nude colour called Evermore Lush.
You might be surprised that I chose a nude shade…I know I am! The reason behind this is that I found myself reaching for nude colours for a quick daytime look. For the first time in a long while, my reds shifted to the back of my drawer and my nude colours started to shine. Evermore Lush came in just the right time.
The Lipfinity lipsticks come in the chic packaging of a gold bullet. The packaging looks so professional and I especially like the transparent top where you can actually see the lipstick colour rather than having to open the tube. The only downside is that the names are not imprinted to the bottom of the lipsticks but they are a removable sticker which ultimately wears off after twisting the tube open a couple of times.
Evermore Lush is a pink nude shade, almost a my lips but better colour. The colour glides on smoothly on the lips and upon application it has a shine and gloss feel. However, I noted that after some time the colour sets to a semi-matte finish. They are said to last 8 hours without the need for re-application. I generally tend to re-apply my lipsticks before the 8 hour mark as I’m constantly snacking and drinking. I did try to exhaust this period and I was surprised to see that although the pigmentation of the colour decreased, I was still left with visible colour on my lips.
Not bad for a €12.99 lipstick! I’ll definitely be trying more from the range! And I might finally give in to the original Lipfinity hype! What do you think?
