I haven’t had time to go in the kitchen and cook something from scratch for quite some time now. Life, or rather my thesis, got in the way of that. Yesterday, I decided to leave the small confines of my bedroom and make friends with the kitchen counter again. What better way to welcome the colder days than by making hot soup?
Thanks to my trust recipe book, Deliciously Ella, I made a delicious Pea and Mint soup. I wasn’t convinced about the two ingredients being mixed together but I decided to try it out anyway and I’m so glad that I did. The refreshing taste of mint balanced out the strong taste of peas and it was nothing liked I tasted before! What I love about cooking from Ella’s book is that I can identify every ingredient in the recipes. I feel so satisfied knowing that I know what I’m eating!
