The new Orsay shop is here and last weekend I attended the official launch together with my blogging ladies from Confessions of a Former Size 6 and Style in Transit. Known for its business look, the brand has widened its horizon to open a third outlet in Malta at The Point in Sliema to accompany its siblings in Birkirkara, Valletta and Arkadia in Gozo. Their latest shop is, in fact, not only the largest store in Malta but also one of the biggest outlets all over Orsay shops.
The brand celebrates its 40th anniversary in style since their current A/W 2015 stock is on point this year. Since Orsay’s forte lies in their corporate-wear, the classic element is still very much visible. Pencil skirts, blazers and clean, crisp shirts are strong pieces in the collection, allowing the aspiring business woman to create an elegant and chic look just by shopping at one store. However, I was pleased to note that the brand also started to introduce more current items which can be used to achieve a more casual look but always keeping that smart element at the forefront. On-trend prints are currently available such as tartan and paisley prints together with the more classic suede and leather textures.
I’ve got my eye on one coat in particular (spot it below) and who can say no to a black bag? One can never have too many of those right?!
