Wake up all you Green Day fans…September’s over. Hopefully, we can kiss goodbye to the humid and sticky weather and welcome October with open arms. I can’t say I’m a winter person but I’ve sure missed listening to the sound of the rain while I’m still in bed reading and sipping a mug of hot chocolate.
September was full of trying out new beauty products so mainly this post is going to be beauty related. In fact, I’m sure you noticed I’m doing more beauty stuff lately. That’s only because as I mentioned in previous posts, I’m on a tight budget at the moment and cannot really go out buying new clothes. I’m hoping this will change soon and I’ll be back to doing more OOTDs. However, that is why I like to keep my blog quite open and not restrict it to just being fashion-related as when there are certain circumstances I cannot control (like this situation right here), I’ll still be able to post on other things I’m passionate about.
Enough rambling! Here are my September favourites.
First up is a lip favourite. No favourites post is complete without a lip product and this month it’s the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in the shade 04 Peach Club. Whenever I wanted to wear something that stays put through an apocalypse, this was the product I went for this month. The applicator makes it so easy to apply and it dries to a matte finish. This colour is just gorgeous but it’s best not to wear this on chapped lips as it kind of sticks to the dry pieces so make sure you exfoliate before application.
It’s been a Bourjois loving month because the next product is their Volume 1 second mascara in waterproof. This is just the best when you’ve left your mascara for the last minute and you don’t have time to fiddle with your eyelashes to make them look perfect. This mascara does all the work for you! Just one coat and it gives your lashes just the right amount of volume. On the plus side for me, it is not clumpy at all and it holds on like a champ. Love it!
Next up is the Schwarzkopf Gliss Ultimate Colour, Colour Protection Mask. This has worked wonders on my hair. It makes my hair so much softer after I come out of the shower. The good thing about this is that you only have to wait for 1 minute and you can rinse it off. I use this 2-3 times a week and after just one wash, I could already see the difference in the way my hair looked and felt.
Shout out to The Body Shop and all their products which smell absolutely divine. My favourite product this month is their Wild Argan Oil Body Butter. I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this range for quite a while now and I surely do not regret it at all. The reason why I needed a body butter this month was due to the fact that I was having very dry skin especially on my arms and legs. I’ve been applying this once a day, usually after my morning shower, on these areas and I can safely say my skin feels and smells so much better!
This next one I only got recently on my visit to the Yves Rocher outlet in Paola (view my blog post here). This is their Nourishing Foot Cream. I know a lot of people are disgusted by feet but hear me out. This does not smell like your regular foot cream. It smells of lavender and the odour really does make a difference. I’ve got a little sample size here but after I finish this I’m sure I’ll go and pick up the full size. Apart from dry arms and legs, I’m also very lucky to have extra dry feet especially during summer when I’m running barefoot around the house all the time. After applying this product I instantly felt my feet more nourished and soft. I’ve been using it every night since.
This Mvintage horn necklace speaks for itself. It is such a statement piece on its own. However, I also like layering it with other necklaces when I want to give it more of a causal feel. Grab it while you still can by clicking here!
Lastly, this month I have been obsessed with Breaking Bad. Probably by the time you’re reading this post, I’d have finished it all cause there’s just a few episodes left to go. But just in case…NO SPOILERS please! I’ve had enough of them already from by beloved boyfriend. I think it has probably shot up to my number one favourite series. It’s that good!
That’s it guys. I hope you enjoyed this month’s favourites post and maybe this has given you some tips and encouragement on whether or not you should buy these products. Thank you for sticking by me for another month. I am truly grateful for all your support towards this blog!
Let me know what your favourites were this month! Let’s hope for a great October!
